Aberystwyth Town have today confirmed five new signings as their new management team shape their squad for the new Welsh Premier League campaign.
The Green and Black confirmed the signings of Kurtis March, Ryan Wollacott and Dominic Richards after announcing Carl Lamb and Josh Bull earlier in the day.
Bull has signed from Cwmbran Celtic after finishing as the Welsh League’s top goalscorer with 32 goals last term. Bull helped Celtic to promotion from Division 2, finishing just a point behind Caldicot Town in the title race. Bull will now hope to take his goals with him to the Welsh Premier League.
Aber secured Kurtis March from recently relegated South Wales side Port Talbot. March was previously with Swansea City and was a key member of Port Talbot’s side last season that reached the Welsh Cup semi-final. He has now joined Matthew Bishop’s side after the Steelmen’s relegation to Division 1.
Bishop, a former assistant manager of Hereford, has also secured the double signing of Wollacott and Richards from Stourport Swifts. Wollacott, a centre half, was scouted by Bishop when they best Hereford in August, whilst goalkeeper Richards joins after being ever present for the Swifts in 2015/16.
Final signing, Lamb joins for a second time after previously being with Aber back in 2011/12. He’s an experienced Welsh Premier League player having turned out for Bangor, Welshpool Town, Cefn Druids, TNS and Rhyl. With 26 goals from 105 Welsh Premier League appearances, he is sure to be a sound signing for Bishop’s side.
