Unhappy Walker leaves Bangor City

Dec Walker has left Bangor City FC, stating a lack of communication after outgoing manager Neville Powell was sacked.

Walker said:

“If someone spoke to me within the last few weeks it would have been different”

Walker added:

“Once the news came about Nev, I think it was time for me as well”

The right back joined Bangor City FC in July 2013 making a total of 61 appearances and scoring two goals. Walker was a first team regular in his first two seasons, although last season he was restricted to just 7 appearances due to a knee injury suffered in 2015. Walker had previously been given a professional contract for Wrexham in 2010 making 19 appearances for them in the 2012/13 season.

Walker was out of contract at the end of last season. But with Tom Field also leaving, the worry for The Citizens fans is who else might follow.

Bangor City FC have thanked Walker for his time and wished him well for the future.
