Jacob Guy on the move.

In a bid to bolster their defence, newly promoted Welsh league Division 1 team Caldicot town have re-signed Jacob Guy.

Jacob originally left Caldicot for Monmouth Town in 2011 and after several years at the Kingfishers, returns back to Caldicot, adding a wealth of experience to the backline.

This season there are several Gwent based teams in the Welsh League Division 1 and there will be some fiercely contested encounters as the season unfolds.

Caldicot have been busy during the summer and have recruited several players including Alex Jarman who signed from Undy, and Garin Withers who played for AFC Llywdcoed. An interesting development has also seen sign Caldicot Town sign a player from the Czech Republic in Pavel Vavra; an attacking player who will be raring to go in the division.

Jacob will be a valuable asset to Caldicot Town and has been a proven player at this level enjoying some success at the other end of the goal as well. He scored a vital goal last season against Caerau Ely in April to help maintain the Kingfishers fight against relegation. No doubt Caldicot Town fans will be hoping he can contribute to the teams goal tally this season.
