gap Connah’s Quay Nomads face their second encounter with Norwegian opposition in under six months when their U19s welcome Fredrikstad U19s to Deeside.
The Norwegian first division (second tier) club are visiting Deeside as part of a UK tour which will also see them play Liverpool FC.
Although the game is expected to challenge Nomads’ youngsters, they have got off to a good domestic start with six wins in their first seven games placing them second below TNS in the development league, shadowing their senior sides in the Dafabet Welsh Premier table.
Fredrikstad boast a formidable status as one of Norway’s most successful clubs, and have a recent history with Connah’s Quay as their ground, the Fredrikstadion, hosted Nomads’ shock win over Stabaek in the Europa League in July.
The game kicks off at 7pm at the Deeside Stadium with an admission of £3.
