Welsh Prem Preview: Bangor rock up to Cefn Druids

Matchday 13 of the Dafabet Welsh Premier League kicks off this evening when Bangor City travel to Cefn Druids.

The fixture will be seen as vital to both sides, as Bangor look to close the gap between themselves and the top two, whilst Druids will be desperate for a win which would help them climb from their current position of tenth in the table.

If the evening is anything like Druids’ meeting with Bala at The Rock last week, the fans will be in for a good spectacle, with eight goals scored in that game seeing Cefn Druids come from being 4-2 behind to rescue a point late on.

Bangor meanwhile come into the game in buoyant league form keeping them third in the table,  having also achieved a comeback last week, beating Rhyl 3-2 despite their arch rivals 2-0 lead at half time.

Although Bangor will be the favourites on paper, Cefn Druids are more than capable of causing them problems and creating a dramatic opening to the weekend’s top-flight football.

The game kicks off at 7:45pm at Cefn Druids’ ‘The Rock’ stadium.
