After joining Llanelli Town in the summer, Lee Trundle has proven he still has goals in him as he has become a key asset to Andy Hill’s side’s title charge.
In a shock summer move, the former Swansea City frontman joined the Reds and has more than proved his worth with a return of 20 goals in his first nine games.
He was present against STM Sports on Saturday, and bagged himself an impressive seven minute hat-trick and whilst this would hit the headlines, no doubt, in nine out of 10 cases, this is somewhat a special case given that Trundle had already bagged a three minute hat-trick previously in the season.
His impressive form upfront at Steboneath has fired the club up to top spot in the table. Having formed a lethal partnership with strike partner Jordan Follows, the club have amassed seven wins in their first nine games.
Trundle will be a key factor in the club’s final position come the end of the season and despite turning 40 recently, based off his flying start, if he continues at this rate, we may see a few goal records broken along the course of the season.
Never question the magic daps. There’s no doubt more to come from Trundle and co in Division Two this season.
