CAERNARFON V RHYL CHOSEN FOR SGORIO BROADCAST

S4C’s Sgorio has chosen Caernarfon Town against Rhyl as the Round Three clash to be televised.

Caernarfon who beat Welsh Premier League side Carmarthen Town 3-1 in the last round have been rewarded with their efforts with a tie against another Premier League side in Rhyl.

Rhyl beat Huws Gray Alliance side Penrhyncoch in the last round, with a brace from Rio Ahmadi, along with goals from Rob Hughes, Zac Edwards, Carl Lamb and Toby Jones.

The date for the tie has yet to be chosen with the details being released next week, the cup fixtures themselves though will be played over the weekend of the 27th-29th January. One possibility could be Sgorio’s usual time for a televised kick-off, which is 17:15, whilst another could be a 14:30 kick off on a Sunday.

The last time Sgorio visited Caernarfon for a live televission broadcast, a wall to hold back fans from going on the pitch collapsed, as fans celebrated the Cofis going in front against The New Saints.
